Worth doing . . .
Sometimes even the simplest thing is hard. Today's workout is a "Hero" workout. These are a group of workouts that are named for fallen Heros. This WOD is in honor of Petty Officer 1st Class Jeff Taylor, 30, of Little Creek, VA, who was killed in Afghanistan June 2005. As with all Hero workouts it is extremely difficult, as it should be. I expect it will be quite a while before we have anyone that can complete this WOD as prescribed.
Today's WOD:
JT
Handstand Push-Ups
Ring Dips
Push-Ups
21-15-9 reps for time.
Warmup:
Samson Stretch
Overhead Squat
Abmat Sit-up
Superman
Pull-Up
Burpee
Run to Stop Sign carrying a medicine ball
3 rounds of 15
Skill:
Handstands
I didn't get any video from these two, but I did get the glamor shots!
Ever smiling Mike is one tired and happy camper.
Likewise, Liz thought JT was one tough cookie!
Clarence thought the warmup was harder than the WOD. Not really!
Except maybe when carrying a medicine ball! Thanks Trebor!
Clarence almost makes ring dips look easy, well not really easy . . .
Thank goodness for bands! Scary!
Looks like she's doing yoga, or praying for an easy WOD?
She's making that face just for effect.
Ok, maybe not, but she is having fun, really . . . no really!
See? Still more fun.
Teresa does make this look easy, or maybe she needs a smaller band?
Easy or not, she and we are glad its over!
I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
